Getting Started with LocalWarp: Simulate iPhone Location in 3 Minutes
A complete step-by-step guide to spoofing genuine GPS location on iOS without jailbreak.
LocalWarp is a professional iPhone location simulation workbench running locally on your Mac. This guide walks you through connecting your device and modifying your GPS coordinates for the first time.
Prerequisites
- A Mac computer running macOS;
- An iPhone or iPad running iOS 16 or later;
- A reliable USB-C or Lightning cable that supports data transfer.
Quick Start Steps
Step 1: Connect iPhone & Trust Computer
Connect your iPhone to your Mac via USB and unlock the screen. When prompted with "Trust This Computer?", tap Trust and enter your device passcode.
Step 2: Enable Developer Mode
On iOS 16 and later, Developer Mode is required for debug location injection. Go to Settings ➔ Privacy & Security ➔ Developer Mode, toggle it on, and restart your iPhone as prompted.
LocalWarp provides a one-click reveal button in the Setup Wizard that wakes up the toggle switch automatically.
Step 3: Pick a Spot & Inject Location
- Open the LocalWarp Workbench;
- Search for any landmark or click directly on the interactive map;
- Click the "Simulate Location (Stays After Unplug)" button;
- All apps on your iPhone (Apple Maps, Weather, Social Apps) will instantly reflect the simulated coordinates.
How Unplug Persistence Works
Once injected, simply unplug the cable. The iOS system location daemon maintains the simulated coordinate natively until you explicitly click "Restore Real GPS" or reboot your iPhone.
